Thanks to all those who turned out for the working bee. A great days effort by all concerned. Gabion baskets to line the stream side and fallen trees removed from the creek.

Hi All, just a reminder about the working Bee this Saturday at 10am. Meet at George Road (farm end at 09.45). We need to be very careful crossing the farm at present as calving is in progress and there are numerous calves about who will follow any vehicle. Bring a good pair of gloves as we will be handling stones going into the wire baskets.
You will all be aware that there will be an election this year for Central South Island Fish & Game Councillors. Your vote is important for the hatchery and for Salmon fishing in Central South Island. At present we have a number of Councillors that are pro Salmon fishing and we have achieved a great deal through them to benefit Salmon in this area. We think that it is important to retain this balance so that we can advance our program. So when exercising your vote, look at the candidates profiles, check out what they have achieved for Salmon in this area and vote wisely. Good luck. This is a notice of a working bee to be held at the hatchery on Saturday 12th September from 10.00am on. Meeting place will be at the farm end of George road at 0945hrs. Bring gloves, chainsaw if available, spade or shovel, and some lunch. We have some gabion baskets to fill with rocks and position in the stream plus a clean up around the site. See you there!
