New tank for Salmon fry.

During the summer break a new stainless steel tank was fitted inside the hatching shed. The tank, 4.8 meters long was built by Bleeker & Weith in Timaru who supplied all the labour for free. The remaining cost was shared by the RGB Group at the Rangitata mouth community and the Mid and South Canterbury Community Trust. We are very grateful for all the support to supply this tank. Once salmon smolt are removed from the incubators they will be put into this tank to continue their development.
